Participants are awarded a certificate of participation that can be submitted as one of the required credentials in an application to become a Worldchefs Certified Judge. Culinary Arts & Hot Kitchen, Pastry Arts, Carving, Community Kitchen and Vegan Competition Seminars are all eligible to submit as part of the application.

Take the first step towards becoming a Worldchefs Certified Judge. A certificate of completion for a Culinary Arts & Hot Kitchen, Pastry Arts, Carving, Community Catering or Vegan Competition Seminar is one of the mandatory requirements when submitting a Worldchefs Certified Judge application.
Chef Gert Klotzke is a Certified A Judge, Chairman of the Worldchefs Culinary Competition Committee, and one of the key instructors in the Worldchefs Competition Seminar program.
A well-known competition chef and judge, Gert has won numerous awards on the international culinary scene, including Chef of the Year in Sweden. Gert has spent over a decade mentoring the next generation of competition talent. He was Sweden’s team manager at the Culinary Olympics in 2000 and 2004, where Sweden was Overall Winner, and at the Culinary World Cup 2002 as well as Basel 1998.
Gert continues to advise several teams in Europe. Most recently, he was the appointed Competition Trainer for the National Culinary Team of Finland, which came in 2nd overall at the 2016 Culinary Olympics.
Gert is also the Gastronomic Adviser for the Nobel Foundation and an Honorable Doctor at University of Umea, where he has served as a Professor in Gastronomy.

Worldchefs maintains a list of carefully evaluated judges. Worldchefs Certified Judges will make sure that a fair and consistent level is achieved around the world with specific and measured judging criteria along with standardized competition rules and guidelines.
Attending an applicable Competition Seminar is one part of the process, and does not automatically qualify you as a Worldchefs Certified Judge. Participate in an applicable Worldchefs Competition Seminar: Culinary Arts & Hot Kitchen, Pastry Arts, Community Catering, Carving and Vegan are all eligible for inclusion in a Worldchefs Certified Judge application.
To attend a judging seminar you can contact the organizer of the seminar of your choosing. Check the seminar calendar below to see which event suits you the most.
To become a Worldchefs Certified judge you must complete and return the application form together with requested evidence for evaluation by the Culinary Competition Committee (CCC). Email your application and supporting documents to us at office@worldchefs.org. Only complete applications will be considered.

The following Seminar categories are eligible for inclusion in a Certified Judge application: Culinary Arts & Hot Kitchen, Pastry Arts, Community Catering, Carving and Vegan. Introduction to Competition Standards is not eligible for inclusion in an application to be a Certified Judge.

The application fee is 50 € as 1st January 2019. It is nonrefundable. Applicant shall make sure all the required evidence is provided.
Renewal of the judging license is free of charge.
