Since 1928, Worldchefs Congress & Expo has united a global community of chefs and cross-industry innovators to explore the past, present, and future of the culinary trade. The biennial event is a hallmark tradition of Worldchefs with an institutional, cultural and economic interest. It has been organized in 38 cities across the world throughout its illustrious 90-year history.
During its five-day run, the Worldchefs Congress & Expo attracts between 500 and 2000 (average 1350) delegates and professionals from the five continents to network and expand their professional bonds. A Worldchefs Congress & Expo comprises a great educational programme, competitions: the Bill Gallagher Young Chefs Forum, competitions: the Global Chefs and Global Pastry Chefs Challenges, a trade exhibition and numerous culinary events and activities.

HOST WORLDCHEFS CONGRESS 2024
Worldchefs invites its members, in cooperation with their Convention Bureaus, to express their interest hosting the 2024 Worldchefs Congress & Expo. It is a unique and coveted opportunity to showcase your country’s cuisine, culture, traditions and its chefs and to capture the interest of the international culinary community.

As the Worldchefs Congress & Expo captures the interest of the international culinary community, hosting it provides a unique opportunity to commercial entities to showcase and promote their brand and products, and network with high caliber buyers around the globe.
Hosting a Worldchefs Congress boosts a member country’s status within the international community for both national interest in cuisine, products, and tourism.
HOW TO APPLY AND APPLICATION DEADLINES
As the Worldchefs Congress & Expo captures the interest of the international culinary community, hosting it provides a unique opportunity to commercial entities to showcase and promote their brand and products, and network with high caliber buyers around the globe.

Submit a Letter of Interest by 10 November 2019: A letter expressing the interest to submit a bid proposal must be send by e-mail to office@worldchefs.org by 10 November 2019, accompanied by:
- The official “Application” distributed by Worldchef
- Letter of invitation by the Mayor and the President of the Convention and Visitors Bureau II.
- Short listing, by 20 December 2019: Worldchefs Congress Committee will evaluate the applications and shortlist a maximum of five destinations that will be notified to prepare the full bid document.
- Bid application, by 10 February 2020: Deadline for the bid submissions including full bid documents and relevant brochures of the shortlisted destinations (finalists). A non-refundable application fee of 500€ (five hundred euro) must accompany all bid submissions of the shortlisted destinations.No bids will be accepted if the fee has not been paid.
- Bid presentation in Worldchefs Congress 2020: The finalists will present their proposals to the voting countries during the 2020 Congress to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia on 28-31 July. Finalists are expected to campaign their candidacy also during the congress exhibition by setting up a booth. Guidelines for the presentation and participation will be announced the latest 5months prior to the Congress.
- Final decision: Selection of the Worldchefs Congress 2024 host country is by vote of member nations at the Worldchefs Congress 2020–one vote per paid up member country.
